Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?
One, they remember your name. Two, they meet your gaze and hold it. They even remember things you’ve said, after a time. I wish I was that person. I walk the street with my rollator, smile at some, or even catch their eye, most don’t return the gaze, look away. Living alone is hard, so I try to make contact with people I meet. Ours is a small town, I can often meet people I know. Those who acknowledge me are truly unique. Those who don’t may be lonely, but ignore a chance to make friends. Their loss.
